Job Description

We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join GDIT as an Instructional Developer (Trainer).

As part of our team, you will support and work within an integrated team environment to produce and execute system-based instructor-led training.

You will also be responsible for supporting training activities for our customers.

You will be responsible for developing a train-the-trainer model to ensure knowledge sharing across stakeholder organizations is seamless and ensures readiness of data.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Facilitating User Validation event training for end-users
  • Developing software feature specific training tools
  • Enabling developers and team members to test code and validate UI/UX
  • Create instructional goals/outcomes and conduct research for relevant training content
  • Instructional Developer Advisor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing educational strategies for new and existing instructional content to meet customer training needs
  • Develop a “train-the-trainer” model to scale knowledge across stakeholders
  • Attend consultation meetings with clients, SMEs, and instructional designers to learn requirements and assist in creating innovative training programs and content
  • Create supporting content including instructor guides, student guides, supplemental training materials such as quick reference guides, web-based training, and other training content as needed
  • Support learning technologies and User Validation Events
  • Perform complete and thorough quality assurance reviews of instructional/training products
  •  Instructional Developer Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, e-learning, instructional design, or related fields
  • Knowledge of e-learning development principles
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Agile approaches, rules, practices and deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience in related fields
  • Knowledge of major online delivery and content sharing platforms (MS Teams, SharePoint, WebEx, Adobe Connect, Blackboard etc.)
  • Willingness to facilitate training in-person or on-line via virtual classrooms
  • Experience or training in developing quick reference guides
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience:

  • Creating systems-based training
  • Conducting instructor-led training
  • Engaging subject matter experts and gathering training requirements
  • Working in Federal or State government environments
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Travel Required:

    Little to no travel anticipated (may be required to travel upon customer request).

    Location:

    Hybrid / On-site as required for classified work at Washington D.C. customer location
