We’re looking for a motivated and mission-driven leader to join our Work Ready team in Center City Philadelphia.

This is a full-time role (35 hours/week) with a hybrid schedule.

What You’ll Do
You’ll guide staff, shape programming, and directly support clients on their path to meaningful employment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Staff Development
+ Provide weekly supervision and mentorship to assigned staff, fostering growth and efficiency.
+ Develop and implement staff training plans; deliver constructive, continuous feedback.
+ Prepare timely evaluations and ensure team alignment with program goals.



Program Oversight & Compliance
+ Maintain knowledge of TANF and PA Department of Public Welfare regulations, ensuring program compliance.
+ Collaborate closely with County Assistance Office personnel.
+ Prepare accurate statistical and narrative reports, participate in contract compliance, and drive program outcomes.



Client Engagement & Training
+ Lead interactive, experiential classroom sessions that promote client participation and skill-building.
+ Teach core employment readiness skills: resume writing, online applications, interviewing, and workplace success.
+ Design creative lesson plans using multimedia approaches to keep sessions engaging and impactful.
+ Provide individualized feedback, monitor progress, and share job leads with participants.



Collaboration & Innovation
+ Act as a liaison between staff and instructional teams, ensuring strong communication and teamwork.
+ Assess ongoing training needs and contribute to the design of innovative staff and client development programs.
+ Bring creativity to group facilitation through icebreakers, exercises, and breakout activities.
+ Assist with the Penn Foster High School Diploma Program referral and application process.
+ Assist with the JEVS EduConnect referral and application process for post-secondary credentials.







+ Bachelor’s degree in adult education or related field preferred

+ 2 years of experience as an instructor in an educational, human service, or other equivalent training

+ Demonstrated ability to work with hard to serve populations.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

+ Knowledge of or interest in learning group training / instruction techniques and methods.

+ Knowledge of content for a wide variety of life and work skills topics.

+ Proficient in MS Office applications (especially MS Word and Excel).

Willingness to learn JEVS specific database.

+ Willing to work flexible schedule

+ Adhere to JEVS Code of Conduct

The base pay for this position ranges from $39,000 to $50,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience.

Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
