Urgent! Instrumentation and Controls Designer / Engineer Job Opening In Rocky Hill – Now Hiring Weston & Sampson
Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, proactive individual to work within our growing Electrical Engineering team as an Instrumentation and Controls Designer/Engineer with 2+ years of experience out of any of our New England office locations.
A basic understanding and interest of process instrumentation, automation equipment and control system communication networks are desired.
What you’ll do:
+ Support our growing internal and external client base serving the institutional, educational, commercial, water, wastewater and municipal industries.
+ Conduct instrumentation and controls system design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the private, public and municipal sectors.
+ Conduct field investigation of existing conditions and generate reports
+ Provide construction administration and supervision support services
+ Coordinate with and provide guidance to internal engineering staff (particularly process engineers and electrical engineers), equipment vendors and clients
+ Work with a diverse team on multidiscipline projects
+ Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.
What you will bring:
+ 2 years (minimum) of experience working as a system integrator, or in design and construction administration working in a multi-disciplinary professional engineering firm involved in the production of contract bidding documents and design-build projects
+ CAD and/or REVIT Experience
+ Microsoft Office experience including Word and Excel.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Organizational/time management skills are required.
+ Desire to grow within the group and company
+ Valid driver’s license is required.
