Job description

Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies.

Responsibilities Prepares Scopes of Work for repairs and minor construction at medical facilities (hospitals, medical centers, research facilities) for the Defense Health Agency and Army Medical Command.

Develops Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Statements of work for design and assessment projects, including master planning, renovations, additions, and new minor construction.

Prepares design fee estimates and collaborates with cost estimators on construction cost estimates.

Acts as technical representative during the negotiation and administration of contracts.

Develops Performance Work Statements (PWS) for O and M projects at medical facilities (e.g., hospitals, research centers) under the Defense Health Agency.

Supports cost estimators in creating cost estimates for O and M contracts.

Prepares cost estimates for repair service orders related to corrective maintenance.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Salary: (series) 0810/0830/0850: $103,470 - $126,186 (series) 0801/0808/0819/0855/0893/0896: $88,621 - $115,213 Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Basic Requirement for 0808 Architecture: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/architecture-series-0808/ Basic Requirement for All Professional Engineering: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/files/all-professional-engineering-positions-0800.pdf Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level which includes: (1) working on multi-discipline technical design or construction teams familiar with engineering and Architectual concepts for vertical construction and/or highly technical projects; (2) a progression of increasing responsibilities in either design or construction and/or (3) managing multiple projects concurrently.

Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Additional Information This announcement uses the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
