Intermediate Structural Engineer | Commercial, Residential, Mixed-use, and Retail



Client :

One of New Jersey's preeminent Architectural and Engineering firms which has grown into a full-service Design firm that provides a single point of accountability for all aspects of design services.

The firm's size and abilities enable it to handle a broad spectrum of projects while allowing the principals to put their seal on everyone.

With in-house Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering, all aspects of a project can be designed and managed by one firm.





The staff is a dedicated, talented team of registered Architects, Professional Engineers and technical support personnel who share the firm's ideals with every client; a quest for upholding the highest standards of quality and pride in the integrity of the work designed.





Description:

At this time, our client has an immediate opening in their Structural Department for a Senior Structural Engineer, with experience in steel, concrete as well as wood frame.

They are in a growth mode and are seeking quality talent.

Immediate need for an engineer with 7 or more years of experience and skills as noted below.





Responsibilities:


  • Develop construction documents including plans and details for building structures

  • Prepare calculations for steel, wood, concrete, and masonry structures

  • Coordinate with architecture and other engineering disciplines

  • Interact with clients to discuss project requirements

  • Visit sites as necessary and prepare field reports


Requirements:


  • Minimum 7+ years Structural Engineering experience

  • PE License desired but NOT required (it would be beneficial if someone was on-track to get a license)

  • Proven experience desired designing structural systems for commercial, residential, industrial buildings, multi-family dwellings, daycare centers, and retail

  • Must have expertise in designing steel, wood frames, and concrete buildings

  • Familiarity with current IBC and ASCE 7 codes desired

  • AutoCAD a MUST; Revit desired

  • Good written and Verbal skills for report preparation and client interaction


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, with an emphasis on Structural from an accredited school of Engineering
