**Position Overview**

As an Intern in HBM Architecture, you will join a multi-functional team defining the architecture and roadmap for future memory products targeting Generative AI workloads.

You will research and prototype advanced memory systems, analyze GPU/TPU architectures, and explore compute-near-memory concepts to enable breakthroughs in performance and efficiency for large-scale AI training and inference.

**Responsibilities**

+ Research and prototype advanced memory architectures for AI accelerators (GPU/TPU).
+ Model and analyze GPU/TPU architectures at rack scale for AI workloads.
+ Investigate memory hierarchy optimizations across HBM, DRAM, storage, and caches.
+ Develop power/performance models and evaluate trade-offs for compute-near-memory designs.
+ Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate findings into future product roadmaps.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Currently pursuing a PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Strong understanding of GPU/TPU architecture and rack-scale system design.
+ Deep knowledge of memory hierarchy (caches, HBM, DRAM) and AI workload characteristics.
+ Hands-on experience in modeling GPU/TPU architectures and performance analysis.
+ Proficiency in C++, Python, and CUDA/TensorFlow.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Capability to work solo in a high-energy environment that prioritizes exploration and creativity.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with compute-near-memory concepts.
+ Publications or research in AI hardware acceleration, memory systems, or rack-scale architectures.
+ Familiarity with industry-standard memory interfaces and protocols.
+ Exposure to architectural planning and roadmap development.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$50.24 - $50.24

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.

The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
