Interns will also participate as a team in a Day of Caring community service project.

This is a 10-week summer internship from June 1, 2026 and ending August 7, 2026.

Interns will typically work a 5-day workweek at 38.75 hours / week.

Interns work with their department supervisor to determine weekly schedules.

Interns must commit to the 10-week program for the summer and participate in planned training and activities.

Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program.

Must be able to provide own transportation.

**_Department: MUSA Product Engineering – Distributions & Digital Services_**

**_Internship Position Description:_**

_You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.

Candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to the full software development lifecycle._

**_Department-specific responsibilities, project description, deliverables, etc.:_**

+ _Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code._
+ _Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing._
+ _Assist in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements._
+ _Debug and resolve software defects and issues._
+ _Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Product, and DevOps._
+ _Document technical specifications and system designs._

+ **_Proven hands-on experience in software development and coding._**
+ **_Strong understanding of database systems and cloud application architecture._**
+ **_Practical experience in both frontend and backend development._**
+ **_Familiarity with cloud-native applications and microservices-based architectures._**
+ **_Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and practices._**
+ **_Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket), including branching and merging strategies._**
+ **_Awareness of DevSecOps principles and practices._**
+ **_Understanding of application performance metrics and their impact on system behavior._**
