Intern, Robotics Application Job Opening In San Francisco – Now Hiring Autodesk

We are building the next generation of **adaptive industrial robotics applications** that integrate perception, intelligent workflow building, and robust execution.This summer, you’ll contribute to building an adaptive robotics system that unites perception, planning, and execution into seamless, end-to-end workflows for industrial applications.

**What You’ll Do**

+ Develop and implement adaptive robotics software for industrial applications.
+ Integrate intelligent perception, motion planning, UI, and failure-handling mechanisms, ensuring robustness, reliability, and strong performance across key metrics.
+ Architect modular software systems using appropriate design principles so that it can seamlessly integrate with diverse hardware and software components.
+ Incorporate AI and machine learning capabilities using applied ML techniques and integrating with open-source or proprietary models.
+ Design and build reusable, adaptable robot behaviors that can generalize across multiple applications.

**What We’re Looking For:**

+ Current full-time MS or Ph.D. student in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related discipline at an accredited institution, with at least one academic term remaining after the internship.
+ Hands-on experience with robotics software development and familiarity with established platforms.
+ Background in machine learning and its applications in robotics.
+ Strong foundation in software engineering, software design principles and architecture, and systems engineering.
+ Proficiency in both simulation-based development and real-world hardware implementation.
+ Excellent programming skills, with fluency in Python and C+ **Why this role is exciting:**

**About the US Intern Program**

The 2026 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4).

All internships are paid.

As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development.

Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

+ $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
+ $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
+ $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
