Job Description
We are seeking a 1st Shift Shipping Clerk to join our team.
In this role, you will interact with various divisions within Lakeshore—as well as other companies—via phone/email to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
The position also requires keeping track of and processing hold/reship orders and continuously checking emails for GTDs, KT returns, campus ships, etc.
Applicants should have experience with and be comfortable using the HighJump WMS system.
The ideal candidate also possesses the ability to work collaboratively with the other employees and departments toward common goals and objectives, as well as assist with people management.

A day on the job looks like this:
Interact with truck drivers in a professional manner Assist with various needs on the floor during “downtime” (operation of PIT equipment not required but a plus) Generate daily reports via email, Excel and Word documents Update the OB team daily with turnovers, pickup times and trailer locations Promptly respond to BOL requests from our service carriers and Traffic team Systematically ship trucks using the HighJump WMS system Scan in and organize BOLs neatly and accordingly Send actuals and sign carrier BOLs for special carriers Build and edit BOLs with pallet and carpet count using the HighJump system and provided editing system Qualifications

Able to read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly Willing and capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time Able to perform physical activity at a sustained pace within the facility including walking, bending, twisting and lifting at minimum 50 pounds on a consistent basis Familiarity with the facility’s general safety procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance Must be able to operate an RF scanner Able to troubleshoot and resolve basic system issues Additional Information
