Description
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool.
As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to interpret/transliterate subject matter effectively.
Must have expressive and receptive skills, including finger spelling.
Registration as a Provisional Community Interpreter or Community Interpreter
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attends all classes and interprets lectures, class discussions, videos, and other class activities which involve the spoken word.
Interprets/transliterates all information conveying the context of the speaker using language most readily understood by the student.
Interprets spoken English to American Sign Language and American Sign Language to spoken English.

Academic degrees must have been awarded by regionally accredited institutions.
