Job description

Job Title: Inventory/Process Control Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX (Fully Onsite) (Only Local Candidates)

Duration: 6 Months



Job Purpose

Inventory and Process Control Analyst ensures the accuracy, safekeeping and timely movement of inventory throughout the site.

This is accomplished through following the processes and procedures that were developed to meet internal and external customer requirements.

This position will be very hands on physically and electronically managing inventory falling into IT exceptions buckets.

Primary Job Accountabilities / Responsibilities


  • Liaison between teams, shifts, and departments, and partner with internal and external customer.

  • Ensure accurate accounting and physical control and security of all material stored in stockroom locations for exceptions.

  • Take ownership of all exception inventory areas and provide scheduled reporting of inventory data as well as provide ad hoc reporting of inventory data as required.

  • Develop function-specific documentation for exceptions area logging, data collection and issue resolution.


  • Create and/or modify processes, in collaboration with manager, to allow for the processing and servicing of new exception buckets and products, as well as improving existing processes when practical and cost effective.

  • Implement and maintain inventory control process for cell phone devices

  • Develop work instructions and process documents for the handling of exceptions, data gathering, and data correction

  • Act as the primary SME for Oracle EBS R12 Inventory Management, including strong understanding of its integration with related modules such as Purchasing and Order Management.


Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge


  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Processing Coordinator or Inventory Control Material Processor


Other Requirements:


  • Expert level user of MS Excel and MS Word


Environment/Physical demands:


  • Working knowledge or better of C-Works proprietary software Visio

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit and move from one room to another for meetings.


  • Occasional: bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, exposure to changes in temperature, being near moving machinery, and office machinery

  • This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone

  • Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 20 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

  • Must be able to talk and hear

  • Understand the spoken word and respond verbally in an effective manner.


  • Understand the written word, both hard copy and on-line, and must be able to respond in kind.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge


  • Knowledge and understanding of MRP / ERP.

  • Knowledge and clear understanding of inventory control systems and processes

  • Knowledge of inventory and warehousing processing procedures.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnel as well as external personnel.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Highly analytical with excellent interpersonal skills.
