**Overview**

The Data Analyst II is responsible for helping various departments gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows.

They will work closely with project managers, developers, and process owners to ensure business data and reporting needs are met and projects are delivered successfully.

Data Analyst II is responsible for advanced data management, analysis, and reporting to support IS - Development process data and Commercial Operations.

This role ensures data integrity, optimizes data workflows, and enhances reporting capabilities through expert use of SQL and other analytical tools.

The analyst will lead efforts in data validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of data systems and documentation.

They will also be responsible for identifying areas for process improvement, recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, and disseminating results in meaningful ways to multiple audiences through summary reports and dashboards.

**Responsibilities**

+ Lead the maintenance and enhancement of datasets, reports/KPIs, and the Data Hub to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
+ Conduct complex data audits and implement corrective actions to uphold data integrity across systems.
+ Design and execute data validation protocols and quality checks for workflows, dashboards, and reports.
+ Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
+ Create and maintain advanced reports and visualizations using tools such as Power BI to support business decision-making.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data access rules, security protocols, and governance standards.
+ Document and improve data templates, workflows, and associated processes to support scalability and efficiency.
+ Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.
+ Evaluate the potential impact of proposed process changes, analyzing how modifications may affect existing operations and systems, while offering mitigation strategies.
+ Document and create clear and comprehensive business process flows and detailed requirements, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout project lifecycles.
+ Offer technical support in handling complex processes, systems, software, and various technical elements.

Develop technical documentation while interfacing with users, providing necessary support, and training as required.
+ Apply suitable methodologies and tools for the completion of tasks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and requirements pertinent to specific assignments.

**Qualifications**

**Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications**

+ Five years of experience solving computer, business, scientific, engineering, policy/compliance, or other discipline system/process problems.
+ Demonstrated track record of successfully analyzing data, gathering requirements, and providing valuable insights and solutions to support business decision-making.
+ Experience working on ETL/ELT software platforms such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Fabric
+ Competence in using various data analysis/reporting tools, such as Excel, Power BI, DAS, or other relevant software.
+ Proven expertise in SQL and relational database management.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
+ Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
+ Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, articulate complex information to diverse stakeholders, and present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or other applicable discipline.
