The State of South Carolina Department of Admin is looking for - SAP Senior Developer/Consulting Director

Why is this position open: New role in recognition of needing a full-time expert in SAP Architecture and its evolution as we proceed through a Brownfield upgrade from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA on RISE and set up our people, processes, and system for future modernization efforts once we are in SAP S/4HANA with RISE.

Key duties and Responsibilities



" Lead the technical design and architecture of SAP S/4HANA solutions for brownfield migration.



" Oversee the migration of SAP ECC and associated components to S/4HANA with RISE using tools such as SUM DMO and Conversion Cockpit.

" Collaborate with functional teams, BW/Reporting, BASIS, infrastructure, security and development teams to define scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures.

" Oversee remediation of custom enhancements, Fiori apps, APIs, and interfaces (including PI/PO, CPI, and IDocs) for migration from ECC to S/4HANA.

" Guide migration strategy, system sizing, and performance optimization activities.

" Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

" Participate in project planning, timeline estimation, and risk identification.

" Review and approve implementation partner work products and deliverables.

" Participate in planning and reviews with the implementation partner.



" Participate in planning and reviews with SAP related to the design and implementation of RISE with SAP.

" Participate in Architecture Review Board governance activities including production and evaluation of Architecture Decision Records





Required Skills

" 10+ years of experience with SAP technologies;

" 4+ years in S/4HANA projects

" 5+ years Deep understanding of SAP NetWeaver,

" 2-3 years ABAP programming,

Scope of the project:

The South Carolina Department of Administration Division of Enterprise Applications is seeking a highly skilled contractor to serve as an SAP Architect for an SAP Brownfield Migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA with RISE.



This role requires a seasoned architect with deep experience in SAP ECC, experience with SAP S/4Hana and SAP RISE.



We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect to participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end SAP technical solutions and landscapes.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA with RISE architecture, migrations (including ECC to S/4HANA), environment management, custom code remediation, data archiving, security, system integrations, and emerging cloud technologies.
