IT Depot Technician needed for a contract to hire position in Trumbull, CT!We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Depot Technician to manage our end client's depot activities.
This role involves handling devices, fulfilling work orders and shipping orders as well as maintaining and updating the Asset Management systems.
The Depot Technician is responsible for the smooth operation of all the depot activities and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all stock handling and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular stock audits and update Asset Management system.
- Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records, reporting any discrepancies found.
- Respond to tickets by picking, packing, and preparing device orders for end user delivery or shipping.
- Receive, unload, and store incoming devices and depot goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Inspecting and verifying hardware issues on returned devices.
- Clean-up and reimaging if required of these devices and return to stock.
- Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a stock management or warehouse role.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks under pressure meeting all deadlines.
- Strong communication and Customer service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Punctual and reliable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification.
