Description:
DSI is searching for an IT Help Desk resource whose primary responsibilities and activities include incident and request management and project support.
Responsibilities:
- Answers support calls on service desk rotation, creates tickets, analyzes and resolves customer technical issues by phone, email, remote access software or by travel to various local locations including schools.
- Provides support for escalated issues; provides operational and user support; facilitates vendor support.
- Supports customers in multiple technology areas including operating systems (Primarily MS Windows), hardware, software applications and network; images and deploys customer devices.
- Supports audio-visual equipment and presentations in conference facilities.
- Creates or supports user procedures and training materials.
- Leads or participates in IT projects utilizing IT project management process.
- Supports IT inventory management process.
- Maintains security and confidentiality of all protected health and personal information encountered during performance of essential functions.
- Continuously looks for process and quality improvement; investigates, recommends and helps to implement new technologies.
- Performs these and other related duties as assigned by IT Management.
Requirements:
- Excellent technical troubleshooting, problem resolution (Service desk level 1-2 +).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Successful and recent IT Service Desk experience, managing an active ticket queue and use of ticketing system.
- Able to provide a wide range of direct technical support to staff across various departments with minimal ramp-up and training.
- Able to support or lead lifecycle replacements and other service desk related projects.
- Strong skills and proven enterprise-level experience installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting and supporting users in multiple operating systems, hardware and software - using remote tools and in-person support.
- Experience imaging, deploying and supporting MS Windows devices.
- Experience supporting current MS Windows operating systems.
- Support-level experience with MS Windows Active Directory.
- Experience supporting MS 365 including Teams, Office, and OneDrive.
- Experience configuring and supporting peripherals including network printers.
- Experience with wired/wireless networks.
- Experience supporting end-user security software, password management
- College degree or equivalent in related field of study.
- Able to work at various locations in the Columbus/Franklin County area as assigned; able to carry and install equipment.
Completion of drug screening and background checks by contracting company are required.
- Experience providing direct technology support to staff in an education environment.
- Experience supporting enterprise audio-visual facilities and virtual meeting software.
