Overview
We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the Mainframe Systems team in the Shared Systems Division.
This person will run the teams daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the IBM mainframe computer systems and related software are running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Mainframe Systems team.
* Oversee daily operations of the IBM mainframe and its subsystems (like storage and software).
* Assign tasks, track progress, and evaluate performance of team members.
* Set goals for the team and individuals.
* Be available 24/7 for emergencies or system issues.
* Help with system upgrades and major troubleshooting when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
* A Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or similar plus 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure or data center management.
OR
* 8 years of experience in data center, cloud, or infrastructure management (without a degree).
Required Skills
* Around 20 years of experience managing IT infrastructure in large organizations.
* Knowledge of mainframe systems and how they work.
* Understanding of IBM mainframe z/OS, especially its structure, control, and security.
* Must be self-driven, resourceful, and good at solving problems independently.
Please note that the salary range and/or hourly rate range of $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 is a good faith determination of potential base compensation offered to applicants at the time of this job advertisement and may be subject to modification in the future.
