Job Summary:

The role involves managing IT operations that includes System Administrators and IT Coordinators.

The candidate will implement IT service management practices based on ITIL methodology, ensure effective daily IT operations, and manage critical infrastructure processes such as Pathing, Backup, and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).

Responsibilities also include vendor management, budget oversight (OPEX and CAPEX), leading local projects aligned with business unit priorities, and coordinating inter-GT activities related to Security and Architecture.

Additionally, the candidate will facilitate the local rollout of global projects and initiatives, driving IT excellence to support organizational goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct operations, security, network, systems, and application deployment (cloud and on-premise), along with service desk and support functions for the IT Infrastructure department.
  • Develop improvements to enhance hardware and network architecture, system methodology, and project governance.
  • Analyze and recommend suitable technologies to ensure optimal cost/benefit and data security while providing value-added services.
  • Collaborate with the Security and Development teams to assess information security risks and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
  • Create and manage the IT department's annual expense and investment budget, negotiating with external providers to safeguard company interests and ensure SLAs.
  • Direct, motivate, and align team members with the company's philosophy, values, and mission, achieving strategic goals.
  • Produce and present management reports (KPIs) to upper management and interface with clients, affiliates, and users to define solutions.
  • Oversee the development of requirements and specifications, ensuring compliance with PCI and SaaS regulations.
  • Lead the IT infrastructure team in implementing technical solutions, secure installations, and design reviews.
  • Manage stakeholders effectively and ensure reliable planning and estimation of tasks and timelines by team leads.
  • Capture client requirements through technical interactions, report project status updates to the CTO and management, and perform other assigned duties.
  • Oversee a multi-level organization including System Administrators and IT Coordinators.
  • Operate within a matrix organization, reporting to the Regional Infrastructure & Operations Manager while providing services to CTOs and other VIPs.
  • Ensure service management based on ITIL methodology and oversee daily IT operations and support.
  • Manage key IT infrastructure processes such as Pathing, Backup, and DRP, along with vendor and budget management (OPEX and CAPEX).
  • Lead local projects based on business unit needs and priorities, inter-GT function activities (Security & Architecture), and local rollouts of global initiatives.

  • Education and Experience:

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

    Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3 to 6 years as Infrastructure Lead or Manager managing Windows and Linux Servers.
  • Work in a matrix environmental and transnational companies.
  • Lead Infrastructure regional projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to provide strategic direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage a diverse IT workforce.
  • Demonstrated leadership in troubleshooting and problem-solving: Proven ability to lead teams in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex issues promptly.

    Foster an open environment for collaboration and creativity, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and solutions to overcome challenges effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to IT operations, security, and compliance.
  • Preferred:

  • Experience with payment (i.e. commercial cards), fintech or B2B services
  • Specialization in IT Project Management, Systems Management or Software Development
  • Experience managing AWS environment
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with an office position that involves standing, sitting, reaching, manual dexterity to operate office machines, stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries
  • May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain
