IT Project Manager Birmingham, AL 35203 (4 days on-site and 1 day remote)12+ monthsShift Timings: 8:00am-5:00pmPay Rate: $50.00/hr.- $54.00/hr. Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years The IT Project Manager will work to make sure our IT practices stay aligned with business needs.
- Responsibilities will include Lead the cross-functional delivery of a range of technology deliverables using advanced negotiation facilitation planning and dependency management techniques.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, detailed tasks, and resource requirements from concept creation through implementation.
- Lead sprint planning and stand-up meetings to facilitate the entire project lifecycle from start to finish.
Collaborate with technical and product teams to break complex multi-disciplinary technology projects into prioritized and properly scoped plans of action.
- Create clear visibility into status and progress within the team and for stakeholders.
Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks.
- Define and drive mitigation plans.
- Bachelor's Degree and relevant IT project management experience.
- Strong analytical and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, track, and deliver results.
Technical Responsibilities
- Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting on AMI and Boulder project metrics.
- Oversee Azure Cloud development projects, ensuring optimal performance and scalability for AMI and Boulder initiatives.
- Lead application development projects using Python or .NET technologies, with a focus on AMI and Boulder-related solutions.
- Support data delivery initiatives, including requirements gathering with business partners and stakeholders in AMI and Boulder projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role, preferably in AMI, utility analytics, or Boulder projects.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with Power BI, Azure Cloud development, and application development using Python or .NET.
- Previous experience supporting data delivery, including requirements gathering with business partners.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred, but not required
