We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the onboarding and implementation of a new vendor platform for a state government agency.
This role involves coordinating with multiple counties, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration, communication, and support throughout the rollout.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large-scale IT projects in public-sector environments, strong vendor coordination skills, and a solid understanding of technical integration efforts involving APIs, file transfers, and data compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead coordination with vendor for platform onboarding and phased rollout
- Manage stakeholder engagement across multiple counties and agencies
- Support data integration efforts including API configuration and file uploads
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, risk tracking, and issue resolution
- Conduct meetings, workshops, and training with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with IT security and governance protocols
- Deliver clear documentation, reporting, and change management plans
✅ Must-Have Qualifications:
- 8+ years of IT Project Management experience in public-sector or government settings
- Proven experience leading multi-stakeholder and multi-vendor IT projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Familiarity with data exchange methods such as APIs, file uploads, and integrations
- PMP or equivalent certification
- Experience in government-related IT environments
- Strong documentation, reporting, and training experience
