Summary
The position is currently remote; however, candidates must be based in the NYC, DC, or Boston area.
Our client, an Am Law firm, is seeking an IT Project Manager to join its Global IT PMO team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Program Management, the IT Project Manager will partner with global stakeholders, sponsors, and team members to plan, manage, and deliver IT and technical projects across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead small to mid-size IT projects and support larger programs under PMO guidance.
Define project scope, goals, resources, and timelines; track milestones and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and ensure on-time delivery.
Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, capture decisions, and follow up on action items.
Develop and maintain project plans, risk/issue trackers, and status reports.
Apply SDLC processes, creating project artifacts such as charters, rollout strategies, and postmortem reports.
Provide progress reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to capture requirements, analyze data, and recommend process improvements.
Identify risks, manage scope/budget changes, and propose optimization solutions.
Occasionally support programs outside standard hours and travel as needed for global team coordination.
Proficiencies:
Expert knowledge of project management best practices.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/SCRUM, ITSM policies, and customer service standards.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Portfolio, Structure).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
+ years of experience managing IT projects/programs.
+ years of Agile, SCRUM, or hybrid methodology experience.
PMP, CAPM, CSM, or similar certifications preferred.
