We are seeking a skilled Systems Software Programmer Consultant to join our team in Columbia, SC.
This role offers the opportunity to lead the development and enhancement of our agency's intranet, leveraging cutting-edge Microsoft tools to drive collaboration and efficiency.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the maintenance and enhancement of the agency's intranet, including analysis, requirements gathering, systems and UI/UX design, planning, and development. Utilize existing M tools such as MS Power Suite, MS Teams, and SharePoint to enhance collaboration within the agency's M ecosystem. Design and implement PowerApps and Power Automate flows to automate business processes. Develop solutions that are accessible and user-friendly on both desktop computers and mobile devices. Create technical documentation to enable the agency's help desk and technicians to provide ongoing support. Work with system administrators to ensure security controls are in place, maximizing security using industry best practices. Develop user documentation and comply with agency policies, CJIS security guidance, and state security standards. Conduct formal and informal meetings, communicating directly with the IT team, business employees, and vendor partners. Lead technical workshops and knowledge transfer sessions on SharePoint and PowerPlatform customization, automation, and modernization. Provide guidance on best practices of SharePoint and PowerPlatform governance. Support DevOps-based environment management (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod) with controlled releases. Submit weekly status reports to management. Required Skills
At least years of SharePoint development experience. Proficiency in SharePoint Online and Office , including features, functionality, and capabilities. Experience in designing and developing intranets using SharePoint , including creating custom layouts, features, and functionalities. Skilled in customizing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts to meet specific business requirements. Expertise in utilizing Office Power Suite (Power Automate, Power BI) and add-ons to enhance functionality and automate processes. Strong programming skills in languages such as C, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell. Understanding of information architecture principles to organize and structure content effectively. Preferred Skills
Microsoft Copilot integrations. M adoption strategy and roadmap development. Knowledge of gamification principles and the ability to incorporate gamified elements into the intranet to engage users, drive adoption, and promote collaboration. Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards related to SharePoint Online. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders. Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and ensure the intranet functions smoothly. Experience in implementing personalized user experiences within the intranet. Diverse set of technical skills, experience, and qualifications to effectively design, develop, and implement an intranet using SharePoint Online. Strong user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) knowledge and skills. Effective interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude. Required Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Certifications
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Online, Microsoft Certified: Developer Associate, or similar certifications are preferred but not required.
