Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join our team in Madison, WI on a 6-month contract basis.

There is a chance for an extension and/or conversion, but not guaranteed (all based on budget for 2026).

This role is focused on firewalls (Cisco shop - ASA and Firepower) with a background in security (SIEM, endpoint, vulnerability management, phishing/email, and some GRC.


This role will focus on operational security tasks, monitoring, and management of enterprise security tools to ensure a secure, compliant, and resilient IT environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with a wide range of security platforms, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to threat detection and incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor, manage, and optimize the performance of security tools including:
o Cisco Secure Endpoint
o Endpoint Privilege Manager
o Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
o Netskope
o Proofpoint Endpoint DLP
o Proofpoint Email DLP
o Cisco Vulnerability Management
o Qualys Vulnerability Management
o Cisco AnyConnect VPN
o Cisco Umbrella
• Perform daily security monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
• Assist in vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation efforts.
• Manage alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and escalate incidents as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and findings.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security configurations align with best practices.
• Assist in security awareness and compliance initiatives as directed.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of IT Security or Cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience with the listed security tools.
• Strong understanding of endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and DLP strategies.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
