IT Service Technician

Educational Background:

  • Degree/Diploma in an IT related program
  • Responsibilities:
  • Windows to Windows Conversion: Perform upgrades from Windows to Windows , ensuring minimal disruption to users.

  • Network Troubleshooting: Provide onsite technical assistance for network troubleshooting, resolving issues promptly.

  • Coordination: Work closely with the Network Team and vendors to facilitate the installation of new network equipment.

  • Computer Setup: Pre-stage, image, and set up new computers for employees as needed.

  • Device Management: Reset and release devices in Microsoft Azure and Active Directory.

  • Password Management: Reset passwords in Active Directory.

  • Network Changes: Coordinate with the network team for changes to the network.

  • Ticket Management: Enter escalation tickets into the ServiceNow ticketing system as required.

  • User Support: Provide day-to-day support and answer questions about company phones, software, or computer systems, both onsite and remotely.

  • Site Support: Site Support: Assist with tickets from Canadian and Orange, TX sites as needed.

    (On-site Pittsburgh PA)
  • Helpdesk Coverage: Cover Helpdesk duties as necessary.

  • Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in IT support (preferred) and/or customer service-related role.

  • Looking for candidate with strong interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with users, providing excellent customer service and support.

  • Ability to Learn: Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.

  • The candidate should be able to work independently based on support principles and leadership direction.

  • Flexible in work schedule: Willingness to address after-hours IT requirements to minimize disruption to business operations.

  • Familiar with using IT support level processes and systems (ticket tools, etc...)
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows and Windows migrations).

  • Candidate should have basic technical knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze networking issues.

  • Understanding and experience with Microsoft Azure and Active Directory would be a plus.
