IT Systems Analyst Clinical 3rd Party Systems



Job description

Summary

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting IT applications and for ensuring the availability, stability, and reliability of those applications.

They monitor system performance, identify, and resolve technical issues, and ensure efficient operation of all clinical systems.

The analyst also provides technical support to end-users and collaborates with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems related to clinical systems.

This role focuses on implementing and supporting IT clinical applications, including blood bank systems, fetal monitoring, ECG management, and clinical device connectivity.

The role is part of the clinical 3rd party applications team supporting a broad scope of clinical applications.

IT Systems Analyst I

Job Requirements

Education

Preferred: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Required: 2 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows and/or IT support, including experience with nursing, provider, or ancillary department technologies OR Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field.

Skills

· Basic understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows

· Knowledge of at least one clinical IT systems, including electronic health records (EHRs), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), laboratory information systems (LIS), and other related applications.

· Ability to follow project plans and details.

· Attention to detail in data entry and documentation.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work as part of a team.

· Willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment and adapt to project specific requirements.

· Basic knowledge of project management concepts and tools.

Skills

· Knowledge of more than one clinical IT systems, including system configuration and optimization.

· Participates in project planning, requirements gathering, and user training.

· Effective data analysis skills and reporting for project purposes.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with department resources.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong understanding of operational workflows.

· Strong documentation skills.

· Ability to lead small to medium size projects related to clinical systems implementations/optimizations.

Skills

· Advanced knowledge in multiple clinical IT systems, including systems configuration, customization, and optimization.

· Ability to lead medium to large size projects related to clinical systems implementations / optimizations.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with department resources and management.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including cross-functional teams.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills during project phases.

· Compliance with project management methodologies and quality assurance standards.

· Contributes to project risk management and mitigation strategies.

· Provides mentorship and leadership to junior analysts.

· Stays current with skills and emerging industry trends.
