Job Description

HII, Mission Technologies Division is actively searching for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Digital Information Technology Strategy and Implementation.

The SME shall possess expertise in developing strategies and providing implementation recommendations for the following tasks related to the ServiceNow platform.

Essential Job Responsibilities


+ Responsible for developing a comprehensive plan for consolidating, adopting, and hosting the AFRL ServiceNow instance within the SAF enterprise, ensuring strategic alignment with Dept of the Air Force (DAF) ServiceNow strategy and requirements.

+ Responsible for developing a structured plan of action for new customer engagements and escalated ServiceNow implementations across AFRL to ensure alignment and delivery of ServiceNow solutions.

+ Provide monthly progress reports detailing activities performed, accomplishments achieved, and any issues encountered.

The reports shall be submitted to the COR and IZD leadership in accordance with the task statement under which work is being performed.



+ Develop a phased implementation approach for consolidation with clear milestones and identified risks with potential mitigations.

+ Address data migration, security, user training, and organizational change management (OCM).

Identify potential concerns and mitigation strategies in these areas.

Develop a recommended plan of action for training and OCM.

+ Serve as the primary liaison between AFRL and SAF for matters related to the hosted ServiceNow environment.



Minimum Qualifications


+ 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 5 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 3 years’ experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 15 years relevant experience.

+ Active Secret level or higher security clearance

+ Preferred work location on-site at WPAFB, hybrid work situation possible
Skills/Qualifications

+ Experience with design and deployment of an advanced ServiceNow application for a multi-client installation

+ Experience with implementing and optimizing a Service Catalog solution

+ Experience with managing cross-functional teams to implement ITIL processes in ServiceNow

+ Experience with ITIL, RESTful APIs, SOAP, Agile (Scrum), DevOps, Jenkins desired

+ The candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to translate technical information into business terms and present summarized information to an audience at various levels of leadership/IT expertise
