Job Summary

As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high-performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team.

    Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.
  • Customer Experience: Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Sales & Performance: Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.

    Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Financial Management: Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement: Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving: Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities.

    Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Assistant Store Manager: Open availability, including hours necessary to open and close the store (mornings, days, and nights).

    Minimum standard work week of 5 days; average 44 hours, with increases during peak periods.
  • Supervisor: Availability to open/close the store (mornings, days, and nights).

    Minimum 5 days of availability; minimum 30-hour work week.
  • All Management: Availability on weekends and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance; reliable transportation; ability to read and write English and perform business-related math; may require relocation within the company’s network based on needs.

Physical Demands

  • Requires prolonged standing (approximately five to 14 hours per day).
  • During peak sale periods, long hours may be required.
  • Requires bending, reaching, stocking merchandise, climbing ladders or stairs, and lifting items weighing 5-25 lbs regularly (weights may be higher in certain circumstances).
  • Good vision, including color differentiation; work environment is moderately noisy.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation

  • Assistant Manager pay range: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour with bonus opportunities in addition to base pay if store KPIs are met.
  • Supervisor pay range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.

All roles are eligible for the company 401K plan.

Full time roles will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.
