Job Description:JOB DESCRIPTIONMay be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online and in the dual enrollment program.
Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training.
Primary Purpose:PRIMARY PURPOSEDuties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive.
The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions.

Minimum Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism
OR
Bachelor’s in either of the above
AND
Master’s in English, history, communication, literature, composition, comparative literature, any social science, business, business administration, marketing, graphics or photography
OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
OR The equivalent.
Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Working Conditions:Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture unit rate, $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lab parity unit rate, $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit rate

Special Instructions Summary: SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARYThis recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date.
If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis.
When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
