Job Summary: This position is for a Journey-level Technician (Bus Mechanic) with the ability to perform inspections, diagnosis and repair of a variety of equipment to include and not limited to: school buses, trucks, cars, trailers, generators and gas and diesel engines and equipment.

Candidate performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Maintenance Foreman.
Required to possess a set of auto mechanic hand tools, both metric and SAE, and a storage cabinet. This position is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing as provided by district policy #5202P. Must possess (or quickly obtain) and maintain the following:
Work Year: hours per day; 260 days per year.
Benefits: Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package, for eligible positions. Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).
