The Pet Stop is currently looking for a kennel assistant to join our exceptional team.
We are a small animal practice that has been providing high quality veterinary care to Alaska since 1985.
Our team includes four doctors who cater to the needs of dogs and cats.
Our goal is to find a kennel assistant who is interested in a long-term career in veterinary medicine that fits well with our team.
This full or part-time position allows for an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself and to utilize your skills.

Qualifications
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to animal welfare
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
- The Kennel Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and comfort of dogs and cats in our boarding facility
- This position involves direct animal care, facility sanitation, and client communication to support the overall operations of the hospital
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cat condos, common areas, and equipment to hospital standards
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols
