Lab Customer Service Rep, Full-time Job Opening In Grand Rapids – Now Hiring Trinity Health

.Highlights:
• Depending on the practice 7am – 7pm variable.

• Mercy Health Physician Partners, our multi-specialty physician network, employs more than 500 physicians and advanced practice professionals in, Muskegon, Holland Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore.
• We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.
Responsible for answering outpatient lab related questions from outpatient nurses, doctors, and patients, and for troubleshooting issues including ordering tests, investigating missing tests, correcting charges, and other testing logistics.
 Faxes laboratory results to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
 Contacts facilities including doctor's offices and nursing homes to reconcile specimens sent to the laboratory that lack essential information for processing or are unacceptable for testing.
 Provides guidance to outpatient phlebotomy staff and nurses at physician offices on 1) the proper method of collecting various outpatient specimens (blood, stool, urine, swabs, etc., and 2) ordering complex laboratory tests.
