ARSIEM is looking for a motivated Network Engineer to implement, maintain, and support the lab network infrastructure..

This position will support one of our Government clients in Arlington, VA.


Responsibilities

+ Leverage advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.

+ Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, including development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.

+ Assess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security vulnerabilities, and recommend security best practices.

+ Provide user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix, as well as MacOS and iOS platforms.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues, from basic to complex network problems

+ Implement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security.

+ Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, including replication strategy support and remediation of storage-related incidents.

+ Design, build, and maintain robust network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as updating network devices and performing IP address audits.

+ Ensure optimal network performance by troubleshooting issues, enforcing system standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure.

+ Secure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications

+ BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years network administration, network engineering or systems administration experience.

+ 5+ years of directly relevant experience in network administration

+ Proficiency with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOS

+ Strong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs

+ Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration

+ Skilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware)

+ Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations

Preferred Qualifications

+ Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches

+ Experience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g., FlexPod) and NetApp storage systems

+ Proficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation/optimization

+ Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs

+ Capable of creating and maintaining network diagrams

+ Demonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning

+ Project management capabilities and excellent time-management skills

+ Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security

+ Desired Certifications: DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II, Network+, CCNA

Clearance Requirement : Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
