The Performing Arts department is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach MUS (Music & Music Technology Classes) starting Fall 2025.
We anticipate a need for instructors in the following areas for MUS (Music Classes): Songwriting, Music Theory, Group Classes (Piano/Guitar/Voice), Choral and Instrumental Ensembles, and Jazz History.
The ideal candidate for this instructional position will embrace innovative and inclusive processes, the integration of emerging works and technology; and will be focused on the highest levels and techniques for learning and public service.

Master’s Degree in Music or Music Education including 9 quarter hours of upper division/graduate level courses in Music history from a regionally accredited institution.

Position Purpose:
Lane Community College has a comprehensive music program that includes Music Technology, Music Theory, Sight Reading/Ear Training, Keyboard Skills, Ensemble Conducting (Choral/Instrumental) and Music History classes and individual lessons.
LCC is looking to expand our pool of potential instructors for Fall 2025 and beyond.
Essential Functions:
Support student learning through activities that include:
Faculty report to the Senior Instructional Dean of Arts, and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college: Lane Community College Vision, Mission, Values .
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors.
This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day.
Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
