About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to join our Client Relationship Group (CRG) Supervision and Governance team.

The Lead Analytics Consultant will be responsible for working with senior consultants or directly with partners, responsible for identifying and defining business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex analyses and recommendations.

The Lead Analytics Consultant also conducts maintenance testing and tuning of our supervisory surveillance tools.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
  • Recommend solutions to maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
  • Develop specific, customized reports, ad hoc analyses and/or data visualizations to make recommendations for alternatives
  • Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical and/or financial analysis, modeling, process documentation, profitability analysis, customer/demographic analysis
  • Recommend solutions to maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
  • Identify business requirements and analytical needs
  • Identify and recommend potential data sources; compiles and mines data from multiple, cross business sources
  • Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
  • Complete other duties as assigned by manager
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Tableau experience
  • Experience with R and /or Python programming languages
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Word, Access)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while balancing the needs of multiple projects
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to present results in a clear and concise manner
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.

Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification.

Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
