KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Product Development Strategy & Analytics team is seeking a Lead Data Analyst who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining pipelines that collect, store, process, and deliver large volumes of data from various sources within the company’s systems to create a solid database for the product development strategy and analytics team.

The Lead of Strategy & Analytics is core to the Product Development department since they provide guidance on focus venues, new ships, and destinations which ultimately curate our guests’ experience.

They will elevate the impact of analytics by developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, optimizing data infrastructure, collaborating with other data teams, and implementing data governance to support informed decision-making within an organization.

The ideal candidate is a mastery of programming languages (Python and SQL), great communicator for technical and non-technical audiences, meticulous attention to detail for data accuracy, and creative problem-solving to overcome pipeline challenges.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts across various teams to seamlessly integrate diverse data sources into our centralized database, aligning with our audience’s needs and ensuring access to critical information.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from multiple sources, enabling reliable data flow.

  • Develop and oversee data architectures, including databases and data warehousing solutions, to efficiently store and organize large volumes of data, supporting strategic decision-making.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data through rigorous cleansing and validation processes, maintaining the health and optimal performance of data pipelines and systems for uninterrupted operations.

  • Continuously optimize and automate database performance and data processing workflows to handle large datasets with efficiency, delivering timely insights.

  • Leverage orchestration tools to automate routine data tasks enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing human error.

  • Provide expert technical support for data-related challenges, fostering a data-driven culture and facilitating the integration of innovative data technologies into our ecosystem.

  • Conduct ongoing maintenance and explore system enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and capabilities, ensuring our data infrastructure remains at the forefront of innovation.

  • Build and maintain automated data scripts that feed into key performance dashboards as well as enhance product development’s data foundation.

  • Build strong business acumen across commercial and operational arms of the company and connect these to communicate a simplified story.

  • Identify and explore new data sources to enhance Product Developments ability to make data driven decisions.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to create and share new analyses, updates and opportunities that enrich the organization’s knowledge.

  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in SQL and Python (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), Databricks, Power BI, Power Automate, Logic Apps, and PowerPoint (Intermediate).

    Continuously expanding technical expertise to leverage the latest tools and technologies.

  • Complex Problem Solving: Skilled in diagnosing root causes of intricate issues within data pipelines, enabling effective troubleshooting and resolution of complex data challenges to ensure seamless operations.

  • Project Management & Collaboration: Adept at partnering with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration, align objectives, and influence partnerships assuring access to the most accurate and reliable data for strategic decision-making.

  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Committed to ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity, maintaining high standards of quality in all deliverables.

  • Big Data & Real-Time Processing: Familiar with big data frameworks, capable of designing and organizing scalable data structures, and knowledgeable in real-time data processing tools to support dynamic business needs.

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Combining data insights with analytical rigor to identify strengths, uncover opportunities, and address weaknesses—driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, analytics and/or business intelligence.

  • Strong analytical skills with a proficient ability to read/write complex SQL queries for data analysis.

  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and data automation tools (Power Automate / Logic Apps).

  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • MS office tools i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of leveraging data insights to influence business decisions.
  • Strong and effective communication, presentation and written skills and ability to work in global environment.

  • Collaborative, self-motivated with a desire to lead strategic problem solving, execution and ownership.
