The Lead Director, National VBC Performance Planning & Insights will act as a strategic leader driving performance excellence across Aetna’s Value-Based Care (VBC) portfolio.

This role is accountable for aggregating and analyzing performance data, identifying key performance drivers, and delivering actionable insights that guide business decisions for national and local providers.

The Director will also play a key role in supporting the development and tracking of performance improvement programs and lead executive-level reporting and performance reviews

**VBC Performance Reporting**

+ Lead the aggregation, reporting, and analysis of VBC performance data nationally and across all regions and lines of business
+ Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance metrics and trends at the national and local level
+ Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
+ Work with Center of Excellence team to roll out and provide education and training for new reports to regional teams

**Performance Insights & Action Planning**

+ Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, cost and quality to identify trends and areas for improvement
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with markets and shared services departments to support development of provider performance improvement initiatives
+ Establish a program management framework for VBC improvement initiatives-- monitoring the impact of efforts and adjusting strategies accordingly
+ Work closely with Medicare Quality team to ensure that reporting highlights areas of improvement at a provider level to improve quality scores

**Executive Reporting & Communication**

+ Create executive-level materials such as performance summaries, visualizations, and data-driven recommendations for performance reviews
+ Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
+ Support ad hoc analysis and presentations as needed.
+ Gather feedback from performance management reviews on initiatives, create implementation plans, and work with National and Regional Teams to implement plans turning into SAIs.

**Required Qualifications**

+ A minimum of 10 years experience with several of the following: medical economics, management consulting, project consulting, business process consulting, financial strategic analysis.
+ Understanding of value-based care, including risk adjustment methodologies (e.g., HCC coding), quality measurement frameworks, and payer-provider collaboration.
+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable reporting and insights.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously.
+ Experience with enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large scale initiatives with high degree of complexity.
+ Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in complex organizations.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Consulting experience.
+ Skilled in **cross-functional execution** —partnering with finance, actuarial, clinical, and operations teams.

**Education**

+ Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of professional work experience and education.

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
