Lead Game Designer (Clockmaker)

Job description

We are Belka Gamesa leading mobile game developer ranked among Europe's top-grossing studios, according to data.ai.

With over 110 million players worldwide, our titles frequently top the charts in the US and EU.

Clockmaker is a successful match-3 project with a history spanning more than 10 years.

We're looking for a Lead Game Designer who will champion and expand the growth of one of our flagship games with massive potential!

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead and inspire a team of game designers
  • Ensure the overall game vision is maintained when developing new content, features, and gameplay mechanics
  • Own the quality of features: from concept and ToR to measurable results
  • Contribute to the product's strategic planning (KPI, Roadmap)
  • Analyze player behavior (with the analytics team)
  • Work closely with the producer, art department, development team, and other project specialists
  • Develop the game's internal economy and monetization systems
  • Calculate balance and analyze gameplay statistics
  • Develop processes within the game design team: planning, reviews, and growth
What we need from you:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Lead Game Designer
  • Proven experience working on Match-3 or other casual game projects
  • A strong understanding of the F2P gaming market and current industry trends
  • A track record of successfully launched commercial projects
  • Hands-on experience creating game documentation: concept docs, GDDs, and ToRs
  • A genuine passion for developing mobile games
  • Ability to set clear goals and stay focused on delivering results
  • Extensive experience playing mobile games
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and a solid grasp of product metrics
  • Experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Miro, Sketch)
  • Upper-intermediate English (B2) or higher
What you'll like about us:
  • Remote/hybrid options: choose official employment in Georgia or work via a B2B contract from select countries
  • Professional growth: we offer English lessons with an instructor, pay for trips to professional conferences, and partially reimburse employees for education
  • Flexibility: sometimes you just want to try something new.

We get it, so we'll support you if you decide you want to switch to a new position, role, or project
  • Teamwork: we value the expertise of every member of our team, so we really listen to each other
  • Data-driven decision-making: all our product-related decisions are ultimately based on metrics, not subjective feelings
  • Plus all the standard stuff: official employment, health insurance, and partial reimbursement for your gym membership

The recruitment process will consist of three phases: an interview with our Recruiter, a test task, and a technical interview with our Game Producer.
