Lead Game Designer Job Opening In Globe – Now Hiring Mediabistro

Job description

Are you a Lead Game Designer with a knack for hybrid-casual mobile games and a sharp eye for market trends and performance data?

Were partnering with a mobile games publisher and incubator on the lookout for a creative and commercially minded Lead Game Designer to prototype, test, and iterate on high-potential game concepts in the idle/sim genre.

If you love taking ideas from whiteboard to soft launch, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a solid track record in hybrid and hyper-casual games, this could be your next great role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading the design of multiple mobile game concepts (hybrid-casual/idle/sim).

  • Designing compelling core loops, economies, and progression systems.

  • Prototyping ideas in Unity and collaborating with the team to bring them to market.

  • Using early KPI data (retention, CPI, etc.) to iterate rapidly and refine concepts.

  • Working with a cross-functional team across time zones, including collaboration with teams based in Saudi Arabia.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience shipping successful hybrid-casual or hyper-casual mobile games, ideally in the idle/sim genre.

  • Strong systems thinking and economy design skills.

  • Proficiency in Unity prototyping and agile development processes.

  • A data-driven mindset with a strong understanding of KPI analysis and iterative design.

  • Excellent remote communication skills and the ability to self-manage across distributed teams.

  • Deep understanding of the global F2P mobile game market and player behaviour.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the next mobile hit while working flexibly perfect for a seasoned designer who enjoys ideation, prototyping, and data-led iteration.
