Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Hazardous Waste Lead Technician with supervisory experience in a Part B TSDF environment.

This role will oversee day-to-day hazardous waste operations, ensure full regulatory compliance, and provide leadership and training to junior technicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate hazardous waste handling, storage, and processing activities.
  • Coordinate with facility operations, EH&S teams, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with RCRA, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and state-specific regulations.
  • Oversee manifesting, profiling, labeling, containerization, and shipment of hazardous waste.
  • Lead waste inspections, audits, and safety drills.
  • Manage waste tracking and documentation systems.
  • Train and mentor new technicians on safe handling procedures and emergency response.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hazardous waste operations at a TSDF.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Part B permit requirements, RCRA regulations, and TSDF best practices.
  • Valid HAZWOPER (40-hour) certification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and manifest documentation.
