Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne, a segment of L3Harris, is seeking Controls Engineers to join our state-of-the-art facilities at our Camden, AR location, the forefront of innovation, producing and developing a variety of energetic assemblies essential for rocket propulsion.

The Controls Engineer will develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.

Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products.

Manage complex projects or processes with general oversight.

Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.

Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.

Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.


Essential Functions:
+ Controls Engineering supporting the programming of PLC’s, Servos, Vision Systems, and Robots.



+ Reviewing controls drawings for accuracy and providing controls drawing improvements.



+ Receiving Scope of Work from Manufacturing Engineers and developing a controls solution to address the scope of work.



+ Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area.


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant engineering experience.

Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineering experience.

In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineering experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.



+ Experience with PLC, Servo, Vision System, and Robot programming.



+ Proficient with Controls Architecture, and Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic drawings.



+ Experience leading a team of Controls Engineers in support of new product introduction and sustaining current production.
