Summary This position is located at Magrath Sports Complex but may fill positions at other fitness centers in the Business Recreation Division.
This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York.
FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families.
Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid.
Responsibilities In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilitates and machinery.
Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
Plans, conducts, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
Leads the work of other employees by passing on supervisors instructions to other workers; distributes and balances work-load assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy.
Answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and directives and provides leadership, guidance and oversight in program operations.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience, which involved dealing with general public such as babysitting, newspaper delivery, volunteer work at a church/chapel, etc.

Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who are U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals that have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation and reside within the Local Commuting Area (defined as 100-mile radius) of Fort Drum, NY.
Spouse Employment Preference (SEP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) are included in this area of consideration.

Night differential and Sunday premium pay has been authorized by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bargaining NF positions only.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
