Cornerstone Leader
The Cornerstone Leader is responsible for the proper execution and monitoring of all components of the Cornerstone Memory Support Program—the model of care used by LifeSpire Communities.
This program ensures the well-being of memory care residents by delivering high-quality, holistic services in compliance with state and federal regulations.
This role demands a passion for serving seniors and contributing to a positive, supportive, and resident-centered environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Cornerstone Program.
- Ensure resident care aligns with the program’s seven guiding principles:
- Compassionate, trained team members
- Vibrancy
- Meaningful relationships
- Ability-focused care
- LifeStory integration
- Resident/family engagement
- Comfortable, familiar home environment
- Act as a liaison among all members of the care team, including:
- Residents and families
- Nurses and nursing assistants
- Therapists (PT/OT/ST)
- Physicians and mental health consultants
- Dietitians and activity coordinators

Qualifications:
- Related degree or experience in memory care or a relevant field (e.g., LPN, RN, recreational therapy, occupational therapy, social work, behavioral health, or a Bachelor's in a related discipline)
- 2+ years experience working with cognitive impairment or leading memory care/assisted living neighborhoods preferred
- Deep knowledge of dementia, cognitive decline, and related adaptive strategies
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively supervise a diverse team and address behavioral challenges
- Excellent oral and written communication
- High level of interpersonal skills and ability to foster collaboration
- Ability to maintain a positive and constructive environment
- Must become a Certified Dementia Practitioner within 3 months of hire
