Lecturer - Electrical & Telecommunications Engineering Technology
**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, invites applications for a lecturer position in the Department of Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering Technology to begin in the fall 2025 semester.

This is a full-time position that leads to a certificate of continuous employment.
The department’s associate degree program in electrical engineering technology (AAS) prepares graduates for careers as electronic technicians.

The baccalaureate program in electrical engineering technology (BTech) prepares graduates for careers as electrical technologists.

The BTech program builds upon the skills learned in the first two years and adds more advanced study in data communications, coding, computer systems, satellite, fiber optic communications, power systems, control systems, mechatronics, and power electronics among several other emerging telecom and electrical engineering technology courses.

Both programs are accredited by ETAC of ABET.

The employers of graduates include Citicorp, MTA, Verizon, and Con Edison among others.
Faculty members in the department teach a wide spectrum of courses, from basic electrical and electronic concepts to modern telecommunications, including support for emerging applications.
The department seeks a candidate with expertise in electrical engineering technology with emphasis in one of the following fields:
+ Analog and digital electronics
+ Power systems
+ Control systems
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or related field and the ability to teach successfully.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ A master’s degree, doctorate, or doctoral equivalent (master’s degree and PE license) in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
+ A minimum of three years of teaching at the college level and/or of industrial experience is strongly preferred.
**COMPENSATION**
$69,983 - $88,998.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases.

Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/01/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/01/2026, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
