Job Description

The College of Business and Technology (CBT) includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting, business administration, computer science, and data analytics.

The mission of the College is to provide students with a high-value education that emphasizes the fundamentals of their disciplines.

The College provides a learning environment that engages students, faculty, and community stakeholders for regional advancement.

Many of our programs are accredited by the AACSB or ABET.

ISCT invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Business Data Analytics to teach at the undergraduate level in the field of Business and Data Analytics.

We are looking for a passionate educator who can engage students in the practical and theoretical aspects of data analytics in a business context.

The start date could be in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.

The contract can be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding, and student enrollments.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


This is a teaching-focused non-tenure track position with an emphasis on delivering high-quality instruction and preparing students for data-driven decision-making roles in industry.

Teaching load will be 5 courses per long semester, comprising in-person, online, and hybrid classes.

We are a student-success driven university, and faculty keep regular office hours.

We are looking for qualified candidates who are eligible to work in the US.

We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.





KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Minimum Qualifications

+ Master’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.

+ Experience teaching or assisting in teaching at the undergraduate level.

+ Proficiency in relevant tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Python, R) and in using platforms (e.g., Anaconda, Google Collaboratory, R-Studio).

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Commitment to student-centered teaching and continuous improvement.


Preferred Qualifications

+ Ph.D. or Doctorate in a related field (completed or in progress).

+ Experience designing and delivering undergraduate business and/or data analytics courses.

+ Industry experience or consulting in data analytics or related fields.

+ Experience teaching in both in-person and online environments.


+ Competence in teaching classes on programming languages (such as Java, Python, R, etc.)

+ A relevant certification and/or industry experience are preferred.


Other Requirements

+ Ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours, if needed.

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.

This position generally does not supervise employees.
