Job Summary Dalton State College Wright School of Business seeks a full-time 10-month non-tenure track Lecturer of Business Administration position beginning January 1, 2026.Faculty workload at Dalton State College consists of the following five components: (1) teaching, (2) student success, (3) research/scholarship/creative activity or academic achievement, (4) professional service to the institution or community, and (5) professional growth.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and service.The candidate should have attained a masters degree in business or a closely related field (e.g., MBA), preferably from an AACSB accredited institution.Business experience and industry certifications are important pluses.The appointment is renewable each year given satisfactory performance and budget.

Lamar and Ann Wright School of Business is AACSB-accredited, and salary is competitive with the AACSB small school network.We currently offer six B.B.A. degrees with majors in Accounting, Finance and Applied Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing.

Priority will be given for candidates who can teach Logistics/ Supply Chain Management, Environment of Business (Introduction to Business), and/or Statistics.

Summer teaching may be available on a competitive basis.

The teaching load will consist of a minimum of 12 hours per semester typically this is a 4 course/semester assignment.

Candidate must be willing to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and pedagogical activities, including online and hybrid courses, student advising, and assurance of learning assessment (for both SACS-COC and AACSB) accreditation.

(75%) Engage in applied research leading to journal publications and other scholarly output focused on business communications pedagogy and research targeted to practitioners.Depending on career aspirations, lecturers must maintain credentialing sufficient for the AACSB Instructional Practitioner (IP) or Scholarly Practitioner (SP) classifications.

(15%) Serve on faculty committees at the College and School and other community initiatives and participate in other appropriate service and professional activities related to the field of Business, Business Communications, or Marketing.

(10%) Required Qualifications * Master's degree in the field of Business or a closely related discipline preferably from an AACSB accredited college.

Preferred Qualifications * College classroom teaching experience.

* Demonstrated ability to engage with practitioners in the business or supply chain field.

* Extensive industry experience and credentialing are important priorities especially in the area related to supply chain management and logistics Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Evidence of teaching/classroom effectiveness * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Demonstrated ability to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online classrooms.
