Job description

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Level 3 Database Manager with an active Top Secret Security Clearance for a position at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in San Antonio, TX.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience performing technical and administrative tasks to manage data inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media.

Experience in conducting baseline administrative activities across multiple database systems and environments is required.






Responsibilities: The contractor will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and administering information systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.

Specific duties include:


  • Planning, developing, implementing, and administering data management systems.


  • Analyzing and recommending data requirements and specifications.


  • Designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases.


  • Maintaining, monitoring, and tuning database performance; performing backups and recovery.


  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management system (DBMS) software.


  • Analyzing and planning for changes in data capacity requirements.


  • Developing and enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures.


  • Designing and implementing data mining and data warehousing solutions.


  • Evaluating and recommending new database technologies and architectures.


  • Ensuring strict adherence to information security and cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices.


  • Performing Microsoft SharePoint administration tasks, including:

    • Configuring SharePoint services and settings.


    • Documenting SharePoint configurations and architecture.


    • Managing site quotas and file size limits.


    • Reviewing and monitoring usage reports.


    • Managing and creating content databases.


    • Administering and maintaining SharePoint sites.


    • Managing site layouts, structure, and content.


    • Providing technical support and assistance to SharePoint end users.




  • Performing other duties as assigned.







Required Qualifications:


  • Active Top Secret Clearance.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.


  • At least 3 years of experience in data inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media management.


  • Experience creating release notes and data reports.


  • Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple database systems.


  • Demonstrated ability to develop briefings for leadership and technical stakeholders.


  • Proficiency in entering and managing data across various information systems and software platforms.


  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.


  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
