    We have a mission to teach kids how to swim and be safer, in and around the water, while making their experience GOLDEN Working for Goldfish Swim School will allow you to provide children and families with necessary life skills to combat the ever growing drowning statistics.

    Whether you are in the pool leading instruction for our swimmers or warmly greeting our members in our tropical lobby as a front desk representative, you are making an impact.

  • Job Title: Lifeguard
    Reports to: Deck Supervisor
    FLSA Status: Non-exempt

    Summary: Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of the Goldfish Swim School by preventing and responding to emergencies.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an accident or emergency.

  • Communicate the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.

  • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.


  • Ensures that medical services (EMS or other) are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency.

  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service.

  • Completes accident/incident reports as necessary.

  • Maintains a clean and safe facility as directed/assigned.

  • Assists with closing and securing the facility.

  • Education/Experience: High school or college student with Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certifications, but obtaining these certifications are available to in-house prior to beginning work.

    Prefer 6 months’ experience as lifeguard at an aquatic facility or camp.



    Work Environment:
    While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity.

    Noise level is usually moderate.

    Goldfish Swim School follows all CDC and WHO safety standards along with following any local guidelines.

    In addition here are some additional safety precautions and procedures we follow:

  • Every shift has an on-staff cleaner to sanitize high touch areas in our lobby and pool areas
