As a Linux Systems Administrator you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.
Our work depends on a well-rounded Systems Administrator joining our team to support a contract in our customer's Office of Cyber Security (OCS).
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
- Engineer systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments
- Perform fault-finding, analysis, and logging of information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers and workstations
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation
- strategies and deployment processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar relevant degree
- Experience: 6+ years of experience with Linux systems
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu, etc.
- Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Skills and Abilities:
- Experienced with Active Directory Integration
- Shell, Bash, and/or Python scripting
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Advantageous Certifications: RHCT, RHCE, LPIC
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Trellix, Splunk, VMWare, and NAS
- Location: Herndon, VA on customer site
- US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000.
This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
