Litigation Attorney – Foreclosure

A high-volume, multi-jurisdictional legal services provider specializing in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate litigation is seeking a Virginia-barred Litigation Attorney to join its Maryland office.

  • Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate and active Virginia Barlicense in good standing (required)

  • 7–8 years of experience in foreclosure, default servicing, or creditors' rights litigation

  • Admission to U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts (preferred but not required)

  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large, high-volume caseload

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local compliance related to foreclosure

  • Ability to commute to the Rockville, MD office 2–3 days per week
  • Must Haves:

  • Experience drafting and reviewing pleadings for compliance with applicable laws

  • Ability to interact with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members professionally and strategically

  • Comfortable attending hearings, status conferences, and managing court appearances

  • Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and propose creative, risk-mitigating solutions for clients

  • Driven and organized, with the ability to work independently within a team-driven environment
  • Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Background in title review, mortgage banking litigation, or bankruptcy proceedings

  • Experience working with mortgage lenders, banks, or financial institutions

  • Familiarity with loan servicing regulations, REO, and eviction litigation
