<p><b><u>Below are the job details for your reference:</u></b></p> <p><b>Title: VMO IT Sourcing Manager</b></p> <p><b>Location: Providence, Rhode Island-02908 Onsite</b></p> <p><b>Duration: At least 6 Months from projected start date </b></p> <p><b>Hrs/WK: 35 </b></p> <p> </p> <p><b>Note: </b><b>Must be Onsite 100% either in Providence or Warwick, whichever they prefer.
</b></p> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Responsibilities:</u></b></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate, lead and support IT Agency Managers in procuring IT solutions, from small to medium/large procurements.</li> <li>Responsible for the management of given portfolio for IT Sourcing Projects, reporting to the Chief of IT Sourcing, Contracts and Vendor Management or to assigned Senior Vendor Manager.</li> <li>Project-manage assigned IT Sourcing Projects from scoping, RFx drafting, Evaluation, Contracting</li> <li>Product delivered range from Contract renewals / amendment to IT Statement of Work or small to medium RFI/RFP, MPA s, etc.</li> <li>Interact with various stakeholders across the enterprise, including Legal, Purchases, Agency resource, and others as needed.</li> <li>Facilitate various Contract/RFx deliverables including vendor selection and award criteria to determine and execute an appropriate procurement strategy.</li> <li>Project Plan for every Sourcing Project</li> <li>Request for Proposals (RFP): Facilitate the drafting of Scope of Work and Requirements; Finalize RFP.</li> <li>Proposal Review: As part of Evaluation committee, facilitate and provide review input</li> <li>Contracts: Review IT Contractual artifact [Renewal or Amendment or SOW] and provide input to enhance favorable Terms; review with stakeholders and legal.</li> <li>Vendor Governance Review Document Issues, Actions with Vendor and report </li> <li>Contract Negotiations: Provide a plan, key IT Terms (participate or lead) during contract negotiations.</li> <li>Participate in other tasks as directed by the Chief of Sourcing and vendor management</li> <li>Provide weekly written statuses.
</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Requirements:</u></b></p> <ul> <li>12-15 years IT experience preferably 5 years in IT Vendor Management and/or IT Sourcing </li> <li>Understanding IT products & services from a contract and vendor management perspective</li> <li>Understanding commercial [pricing services] with contracting and negotiation aspect.
Ability to determine contractual/financial exposure/ negotiate contracts.</li> <li>Knowledge of contracting trends, licensing models </li> <li>Deep market knowledge of IT vendor (Application Svcs, SaaS, Consulting)</li> <li>Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple vendors and</li> <li>multiple contracts, as well as a wide range of tasks.</li> <li>Knowledge of best practices for IT contract negotiation tactics and strategies.</li> <li>Where applicable, understanding of government and industry regulations that will influence contracting approach and vendor behavior (for example, SOX, SECURITY).</li> <li>Experience drafting IT Statement of Work/SLA, change order or amendment</li> <li>Customer-focused approach to delivering contract management services to internal IT</li> <li>Supplier agreements: knowledge of legal terminology related to supplier agreements</li> <li>Proven negotiation and contracting skills</li> <li>Project management skills</li> <li>Ability to think strategically </li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment</li> <li>Knowledge of Procurement Processes and Tools </li> <li>Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SharePoint</li> <li>Excellent communication skills both written and verbal</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Education:</u></b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor s degree required.
Advanced degree preferred.</li> <li>10+ years relevant professional experience; 7-8 years experience in Indirect Sourcing categories required (Project Application Development, SaaS, Maintenance Support)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Preferred:</u></b></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Public Sector Purchasing and Procurement is a plus.</li> <li>Familiarity with Tools such as Archer, a plus</li> <li>Strong analytical skills</li> <li>Strong IT background having managed vendor as Project Manager or IT Account Manager who has delivered services to client is a plus.</li> </ul> <p> </p>
