The M365 Domain Administrator manages and maintains Cherokee Nation Health Services Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
This role ensures the seamless operation, security, and optimization of M365 services to support communication, collaboration, and document management across the enterprise.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An additional five (5) years of experience in a Microsoft 365 Administration.
Experience providing technical support in healthcare environments preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves as the Global Administrator for the Microsoft 365 tenant, managing all M365 services, policies, security settings, and compliance.
• Oversees user provisioning, licensing, authentication, and identity management within Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
• Implements and maintains security policies, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Monitors and optimizes M365 performance, security, and compliance using admin centers, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Defender tools.
• Ensures seamless integration between M365 apps, including Teams, Exchange, and SharePoint.
• Configures and manages Teams policies, governance, and collaboration settings to align with organizational needs.
• Troubleshoots Teams performance, connectivity, and integration issues.
• Enforces Teams compliance policies, retention policies, and security controls.
• Oversees Exchange Online operations, including mail flow rules, mailbox management, and email security policies.
• Manages spam filtering, anti-phishing protection, transport rules, and email encryption.
• Troubleshoots email deliverability, hybrid Exchange configurations, and Outlook connectivity issues.
• Implements email retention, archiving, and compliance policies to align with regulatory requirements.
• Administers SharePoint Online site collections, permissions, and security settings.
• Configures SharePoint governance, metadata management, and content lifecycle policies.
• Ensures seamless integration between SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and third-party applications.
• Develops and manages SharePoint workflows and automation using Power Automate.
• Supports business stakeholders in optimizing SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and process automation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Handles complex issues and problems and refers highly impactful issues to higher-level staff and leadership.
• Possesses expert-level knowledge of subject matter.
• Self-initiates workflows to ensure constant progress.
